During their December meeting, which brought together a diverse group of law enforcement leaders and stakeholders from across the state, the New York State Association of Chiefs of Police engaged in a discussion regarding the future leadership of the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP). After careful consideration of the candidates and their respective qualifications, the members of the association cast their votes and decided to endorse Chief Ronald Sellon for the esteemed position of 4th Vice President for IACP in the upcoming election scheduled for 2025 in Denver, Colorado.

Chief Sellon has a distinguished career marked by his commitment to community policing, innovative crime reduction strategies, and fostering collaboration among various law enforcement agencies. His experience at IACP and vision align with the goals of the IACP, making him a strong candidate to continue to contribute positively to the association's mission.
